Samuel is a transformative business leader and operational strategist with over 15 years of cross-sector experience spanning energy, engineering, logistics, finance, and infrastructure development. As Chief of Operations & Strategy at Colony Energy Ghana Limited, he plays a central role in shaping the company’s long-term direction while translating strategy into measurable performance and operational impact across its value chain.
In his capacity as the lead architect of Colony Energy’s operational framework, Samuel drives core business functions, from upstream supply chain logistics and infrastructure development to compliance, stakeholder relations, and sustainability initiatives. He is instrumental in aligning technical execution with corporate strategy, leveraging his deep understanding of Ghana’s energy terrain and global oil and gas dynamics to position the company for long-term relevance, resilience, and responsible growth.
Prior to joining Colony Energy, Samuel served in pivotal leadership roles that honed his capacity for large-scale project delivery and operational transformation. At Baker Hughes Energy Technology Ghana Ltd, he managed complex, multi-million-dollar energy infrastructure projects, streamlining interdepartmental functions, mitigating risk, and ensuring regulatory conformity while meeting demanding timelines and budgets. His tenure as Director of Finance at Seatrak Engineering and General Manager at Supreme Foods Ltd saw him restructure operational units, drive cost optimization, and improve capital efficiency through forward-looking fiscal policy and accountability systems.
Samuel’s operational acumen is underpinned by hands-on experience in international logistics, engineering project execution, materials procurement, and compliance. From managing offshore logistics at Bourbon Offshore to coordinating regulatory shipment processes at Lukoil Overseas and Vanco Exploration, he has demonstrated a consistent ability to navigate high-stakes environments where precision, safety, and leadership under pressure are paramount.
As the steward of Colony Energy’s operations, Samuel leads cross-functional teams, cultivates industry partnerships, and champions systems innovation. His leadership is defined by a deliberate emphasis on transparency, performance metrics, and cross-sector integration while ensuring that every operational decision advances the company’s strategic ambitions and its commitment to national development.
Academically, Samuel holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana Business School and a BSc in Civil Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He is a Chartered Accountant (ICAG), a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CIMA), and holds professional certifications in Petroleum Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Contract and Procurement Management, and Logistics & Transport.
